End conference for the EU-project "Prevention of intimate partner violence – a public health approach"

Sweden March 6th 2008

The conference will focus on maintaining public awareness; disseminate results and lessons learnt in each region and organisation participating in the project.
We want to inspire and show that results are possible to achieve!

LOCATION: "Elite Stadshotell" in Karlstad

IMPORTANT NOTE

The conference has been canceled due to a low number of participants.

However we will still run a one day program open to the public.

Target groups

The conference offers an opportunity to listen to speakers from Austria, Sweden and Great Britain. It is also a forum where the following groups can exchange expertise and experiences:

• Politicians
• Professionals and decision makers involved in local, regional or national preventative work concerning violence, e.g. intimate partner violence.
• Professionals and decision makers from health related sector of the society.
• Students with interest in public health, nursing, medical and social care.

Conference fee

The cost for the single day conference will be about 600 SEK, includes lunch, morning and afternoon coffee/tea.
